Community Guidelines
Serenity Now Counseling, LLC (“SNC”) is dedicated to providing an informational, safe, and supportive space online for individuals seeking mental health information or more detail.
To create a positive and safe environment for all, we developed community guidelines for engaging with our platforms, including but not limited to our social media pages, our website, and when reaching out to our clinical practice/care team.
By engaging with our content and/or participating in our community, you agree to follow these guidelines:
our content is not diagnostic
Our content is not meant to provide a diagnosis or treatment recommendation for any specific mental health condition. If you have concerns about your mental health based on information shared, we encourage you to consult with a qualified healthcare professional who can assess your unique situation.
our content is not and does not replace professional advice
Our content, whether provided on our website and/or social media handles, is informational in nature only. Our content is not intended to replace recommendations or treatment developed for you by your individual care team and should never be considered a substitute for professional care.
keep it private & confidential
Do not share personal or sensitive information about yourself or others. Do not share patient health information (PHI) with us or anyone else.

We cannot and will not discuss patient care on social media as this can be a violation of health privacy laws. If you are looking to discuss patient care, please contact SNC or your own health care team directly.
be kind & considerate to others
Treat others the way you’d want to be treated: kindly, with respect. Mental health is a unique experience for everyone. What is considered typical for someone may not be the same for you and vice versa.
Express opinions respectfully, thoughtfully, and with consideration. Once you share words on the internet, even if the comment/post is removed, it’s been indexed by the site you are on. Don’t post something that you wouldn’t want to stick by forever!
you are responsible for what you share
You are responsible for the content you are posting, as well as any information you are sharing. SNC is not and can not be held responsible for anything that may occur as a result of you sharing content, whether specific, personal, or not.
Do not share copyrighted material or content without permission. If you are unsure about the rights associated with a particular piece of content, please get permission from the person who created it, or do not share it altogether.
we can remove your content and ban you
SNC reserves the right to remove any type of content that violates these guidelines or are considered inappropriate, offensive, defamatory, hateful, threatening, or harmful.
If you are in repeat violation of these guidelines, we reserve the right to block, ban, or remove you from our digital community spaces.
